Syncrony competitors ranking analysis explained
We run a monthly report on your website that scores your website against its closest competitiors on the web.
We email you this report on a monthly basis. The report can be used to determine the strength of your business and brand on the web when gauged against your competition.
Below is an explanation that will help you to decipher the report. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you need a personal explanation.
The analysis is performed using the info you submitted on our SEO Form.
Your answers told us:
The KEYWORDS that you expect your customers/prospects to use to locate your business on the web;
Plus the websites of a few of your close competitors.
If prospective customers search for the service/product you or your competition offer on the web they will almost always look by KEYWORD phrase. Thus if your competitors come up before your business on a search, you will most likely lose the business.
Getting better rankings is HARD Work.
We can help you with this and we offer various services to improve the visibility of your business on the web.
Report Explained going column by column left to right:
- Keywords - these are the keywords you gave us
- Competition - the total number of pages on which the keywords appear - the bigger the number , the harder it will be to get a higher ranking
- List of your competitors rankings
Note that the report is run twice! This is represented by the first result set Google South Africa and then repeated for Google South Africa (World-wide search). The first result set applies when a searcher clicks the Pages for South Africa option in a Google Search. This is the more relevant option for searches for your business by SA consumers.
Ranking Numbers
- - (dash) this means your site does NOT appear in the first 50 results (not a good thing!)
- A number 1 to 50 is your site’s position in the rankings
- (2) - A number in brackets indicates your site’s previous position
Summary
A summary will appear at the bottom of the report. This represents your site’s overall progress.
Found: the total no. of times your keywords appear in the results for your site
Up: the total no. of your keywords that have improved their ranking positions (good!)
Down: the total no. of your keywords that have dropped ranking positions (bad!)
Added: the total no. of your keywords that have been newly achieved ranking positions (good!)
Removed: the total no. of your keywords that have been disappeared from the rankings. (bad!)
